JK and Joel are miltiple award winners including picking up another three Sony Radio awards in 2004, including the gold award for UKs best breakfast show.
JK and Joel both broke into radio at the age of just 16 with JK broadcasting to his home town radio station "Sunshine 855" and Joel on "Yorkshire Coast Radio" in Scarborough. They joined forces for the first time on Viking FM in Hull where they presented the breakfast show and achieved the stations highest ever audience figures.
In 2000 they took the show to Key103 in Manchester where they presented the show for nearly four years.
In early 2004 came the call from BBC Radio One - every DJ's dream place to work! JK & Joel hosted the 'Early Breakfast Show' and the 'Official Chart Show' for 3 years. Over that period their chart show beat rival HIT40UK for the first time in 10 years. After leaving Radio One they hosted on Absolute Radio (formally Virgin Radio) presenting weekend lunchtimes and covering the breakfast show for Christian O'Connell.
