Dave Pearce hosts a brand new dance show on BBC Radio 2 every Thursday from 23.00-00.00, proving that he remains as one of the most influential dance DJ's of recent years

Dave Pearce is one of the UK's most in demand DJ's, known for his euphoric style of uplifting trance and hard dance.

Most recently, Dave has said goodbye to his Saturday slot on BBC 6 Music to host a brand new show on BBC Radio 2 every Thursday from 11pm - 12pm. Each programme represents a defining era, journeying through the evolution of dance – from disco to jazz funk and from the electronic Eighties to the advent of house music, Ibiza and beyond. Dave also invites listeners to reveal their adventures in clubland from over the years.

Dave has always been a favourite on the airwaves, having previously been at BBC Radio 1 for 13 years. Dave Pearce joined Radio 1 back in 1995 and soon took over the Drive Time show, adding a million listeners and taking house music to a wider audience through his daily ‘mix at six’. He first began his Sunday night Dance Anthems show back in 1998 and built it into a national radio institution, persuading the station to launch regular Dance Parties, which saw him play to crowds of up to 25,000 people on beaches across the UK. After 10 years, Dave moved his Dance Anthems show over to BBC Radio 6 Music which he finished this April now bringing his dance knowledge to Radio 2, reliving his journey with music from era to era.

Dave has produced three successful Trance Anthems albums so far on Ministry of Sound, reaching number 2 in the UK Charts and unleashing some of the greatest tunes of all time. The previous albums success saw Dave clock up over 400,000 album sales in the last 12 months.

Dave Pearce has a mass of other achievements behind him, presenting the Top 100 Dance Anthems on MTV and TMF, headlining festivals throughout the UK and Europe and setting clubland alight in Ibiza and many other clubbing hotspots over the years.

Whilst currently getting stuck in to his new Radio 2 show, Dave continues to share his passion through releases of his Trancecast podcast, available to download on iTunes.
