Welsh DJ Huw Stephens has a huge love for new music and emerging talent. Catch him on Radio 1 for In Huw's Music We Trust weekends from 13.00-16.00 and BBC Introducing every Thursday from 00.00 - 02.00

Huw Stephens is many things; a Radio 1 presenter, the face of channel 4's Topman CTRL, a DJ, a festival organiser and also a music journalist (to name a few) with a passion for discovering the hottest new music from around the world.

The youngest ever presenter to join Radio 1, Huw began his career as a radio DJ at just 17 and, up until recently, used to host every Wednesday from 9pm - 10pm and again from 12am - 2am packing his shows with the most extraordinary new and emerging, weird and wonderful music there is, as well as pulling together the highlights from the UK's BBC Introducing shows.

Since then, Huw has taken over from Jo Wiley filling your weekend with all this weird and wonderful music every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm - 4pm whilst continuing his Wednesday night/Thursday morning show from 12am - 2am concentrating on the finest new music and unpredictable emerging talent.

Huw has just completed presenting the second series of Topman CTRL for channel 4 and is also the host for Bandit on S4C, the flagship music show seeing Huw interview bands, musicians and report from all the major festivals. Not stopping there, Huw then presents two shows a week on C2 for BBC Radio Cymru, the Welsh language radio station, playing the best new music. 

Not limited to just Radio and Television, Huw writes reviews and articles for various magazines, newspapers and is always asked for his professional opinion on new bands for all types of press. He has written for the NME, Guardian, Independent, Mirror, Barn, Planet, Cambria and writes a regular column for Kruger Magazine.
