Jameela Jamil

T4

Jameela co-presents T4 along side Georgie Okell, Matt Edmondson and Will Best. Jameela also co-hosts Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed, and January 2012 sees Jameela on E4 fronting Playing It Straight, a reality dating show.

From teaching English as a foreign language to co-presenting Channel 4’s cult youth strand T4, London-born Jameela Jamil has come a long way in the last few years. With her natural charm and ease in front of the camera, she has quickly carved out a successful career in broadcast.

Bursting onto E4 in late Autumn 2008, Jameela began her presenting career on E4 Music Zones. With her stunning good looks and down to earth personality she immediately caught the attention of both viewers and producers alike leading to the opportunity to front the Freesports on 4 coverage of the Freeze Festival.

January 2009 saw Jameela join the T4 family as well as co-presenting Freshly Squeezed. Further presenting roles quickly followed including a fashion series for social networking site Bebo called The Closet and a co-hosting role for Sony Ericsson’s Pocket TV.

2010 saw Jameela’s first solo presenting role on Koko Pop, a music show filmed in Camden’s iconic club, Koko. The series proved a big hit with viewers and is now in it’s third series.

January 2012 sees Jameela on E4 fronting Playing It Straight, a reality dating show. She continues to co-present T4 and Freshly Squeezed as well as filming a new series of Koko Pop.

Alongside presenting, Jameela is a columnist for Company, one of the UK’s leading women’s monthly magazines. She has appeared in TV advertising campaigns for international make-up brand Maybelline and is the face (and hands!) of the British brand Nails Inc. In addition, she has done numerous fashion shoots with magazines including American and UK Vogue, Glamour, In Style and Esquire.
